WYPERS
Date: TBA. Beginning of June thru September
Times: rowers are on the water for 1 ½ hours once week.
Fee: $225
A low key, enjoyable introduction to rowing for WYRA parents, relatives, friends, and anyone in the community. WYPERS learn on ergometers (rowing machines), in WYRA’s indoor rowing tanks, and in 60’ racing shells. Our coaches encourage laughter and camaraderie as everyone enjoys the beauty of rowing in the early evening along the Christina River.
Great exercise, great fun, great way to meet people!
Those WYPERS who want to race can row in WYPERS’ boats that compete every year in the Head of the Christina Regatta in the fall. WYPERS who fall in love with rowing and want to row more frequently are encouraged to join the adult Wilmington Rowing Club on the Riverfront.
