Session 1: June 20th - June 24th, 2022 (Session 1 has reached capacity. No more registrations are being processed.)
Session 2: August 8th - August 12th, 2022
Times: 9 am - 3 pm (bring a bag lunch)
Cost: $400.00 per session OR $650 for both sessions. You can choose to do one or both sessions.
Rowing 101 is designed for kids ages 13 - 18 who have never rowed and think that they might like to try something new. The sport of rowing not only builds athleticism in a fun environment, but also determination, focus, leadership, and teamwork.
Coaches work closely with rowers on ergometers, in WYRA’s indoor rowing tanks, and on the water in our 60’ racing shells. This is a great opportunity to decide if crew is for you! Unfortunately the restaurant that used to provide us with lunches has closed, so campers will now need to bring a bag lunch. A cook-out and races on the Christina River are held the last day of camp.
Prerequisites: All rowers must show proof of basic swimming ability (see swim form).
All rowers receive a ROWING 101 t-shirt.
Make sure you fill out the registration form AND click on the PayPal link below to be listed on the roster for camp.
Any questions please reach out to Lou Salvadori at email@example.com.
1 session at $400
2 session discount for $650
Experienced rowers are welcome to mentor new campers at our summer camps. If you are interested in mentoring, please fill out this form and return it to WYRA by June 1st.
