Part-Time Summer Rowing Coach
We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Part-Time Summer Rowing Coach to work with youth athletes ages 10–16. The coach will lead on-water and land-based sessions, focusing on teaching proper rowing technique, building foundational skills, and fostering a positive and engaging environment for all participants.
Requirements:
- Prior rowing experience
- Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving a launch (motorboat)
- US Rowing Level 1 Coaching Certification
- Some coaching experience
Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop proper rowing technique
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all participants
- Create a fun, supportive, and engaging atmosphere
- Work effectively with children and maintain strong communication
- Assist with daily program activities and athlete development
Schedule:
- June 22 – June 26: Rowing 101 (Session #1), 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- June 29 – July 10: River Rangers, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (no camp on July 3)
- July 13 – July 24: Row for It!, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- July 27 – July 31: Rowing 101 (Session #2), 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- August 3 – August 7: Rowing 101 (Session #3), 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Our summer program is structured so that coaches can work consistently from June 22 through August 7, all on weekdays (no weekends).
Rate: $15/hr
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with kids, being outdoors, and sharing a passion for rowing.
