WYRA Announces Its 2024 Summer Camps/Programs for Youth

WYRA has two youth summer camps and two programs starting in June and running through the summer. The programs are designed to fit all youth age groups from ages 11 to 19.  Detailed information and or registration on each camp or program may be found under the "Programs" tab on the main navigation bar above. The camps/programs are as follows:

- ROW FOR IT Camp: The Row For It two week camp is designed for youth, grades 6 - 8, who are searching for a fun sports experience during the summer. The camp runs July 8th - July 19th, Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. It is a great introduction to the "Ultimate Team Sport" of rowing.

- ROWING 101 Camps: Rowing 101 one week Summer Camps are designed for kids ages 13 - 18 who have never rowed and think that they might like to try something new. The sport of rowing not only builds athleticism in a fun environment, but also determination, focus, leadership, and teamwork. There are two seperate camp sessions and youth can join one or both.The first session is 6/17-6/21 and the second is from 8/5-8/9.

- DEVELOPMENTAL SUMMER PROGRAM: This program is for experienced high school rowers who are looking to train and gain additional experience for their rowing future. The program both sweep and scull opportunities. The Developmental camp runs from 6/17-7/26, 7:00am - 9:00am.

- HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM: This camp is for junior athletes with two years racing experience that are looking to improve their skill level with a greater intensity. This camp runs from 6/17-7/26, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
